5 Chores To Do Before The Carpet Cleaners Arrive

Blog

When you hire professionals to come and clean the carpeting in your home, you are going to want to be sure that your space is prepared for their arrival. Yes, you are hiring professionals to do the work, but they are only charging for the work put into deep cleaning the carpeting, not moving furniture or picking up small things on the floor that are in their way. If your space isn't prepared, you definitely won't get your money's worth out of hiring professional carpet cleaners. Here are five chores that you should do before the carpet cleaners arrives:

  1. Clean Up the Space: Any toys, trash, blankets, pillows, and other things that may be on the floor should be picked up and put away in order to clear the carpeting for easy cleaning. If these things are left on the ground, most likely the professionals will either work around them or place the items where they don't actually belong.
  2. Vacuum: Many people don't think it makes sense to vacuum the carpeting in their homes before the carpet cleaners arrive. However, this is actually the best way to ensure that the carpeting becomes as clean as possible. When the professionals arrive, they won't vacuum the area; instead they will begin work right away on steam or dry cleaning the carpets. When they do this when there is loose dirt on the carpeting, this can actually make the loose dirt seep deeper into the fibers instead of being removed.
  3. Move Some Furniture: Any furniture that needs to be cleaned under, such as the dining room table, coffee table, chairs, and even the couch, should be placed in a different room that doesn't have carpeting or the garage while the carpet cleaners work. This is going to help ensure that you get the most for your money when you hire professionals to clean the carpeting in your home.
  4. Make Space in the Driveway: It's important that you make space for the carpet cleaners to park. They are going to want easy access to their van, or else it is additional work for them to continue walking back and forth from your home to their vehicle. This can even lead to additional costs charged for their services.
  5. Provide an Idea of Where the Worst Areas Are: When the carpet cleaners arrive, it's best to tell them where the worst areas are in your home, which would be the high traffic areas and any place where there are set-in stains. When you provide details about where these areas of focus are, you can be sure that you are getting even more for your money since the reason you are hiring them in the first place is to get rid of the stubborn stains and set-in dirt in these areas.

When you know what to do before the carpet cleaners arrive to your home, you can be sure that you get the most for your money and that the carpet cleaners don't have to put in extra work that could end up in you being charged more. An Easter Celebration

Growing up, I was extremely close to my family. In fact, I lived with my parents and my sister until I married my husband eleven years ago. Unfortunately, I moved seventy-five long miles away from my family after my wedding. But I still visit my childhood home at least once each month. Our growing family also still celebrates all of the major holidays including Easter. Because my husband and I plan to start a family soon, we hope to begin hosting more family gatherings at our home. When this takes happens, I know I will need help cleaning my house. On this blog, I hope you will discover how hiring cleaning services can help you plan a stress-free Easter celebration.
